The 992 generation of the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup has been officially unveiled and Porsche is making another big push at all levels. From the 2021 season, it will be the new competition car for the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup and the national Porsche Carrera Cups in Germany, France, Asia and Benelux, and for the first time in North America. It is wider, stronger, faster, more climate-friendly and more spectacular. More car is guaranteed!
The spectacularly designed Cup car is the first racing version based on the current 992 generation and the first one-make Cup car from the sports car manufacturer to feature a turbo wide body. With an output of around 375 kW (510 bhp), it outperforms its direct predecessor by 25 bhp. The new GT3 Cup is also designed to run on synthetic fuels, allowing a significant reduction in CO2 emissions during the race. Lap times with the all-new Cup 911 are expected to improve by a good one per cent, depending on the track profile.
The most striking features of the new 911 GT3 Cup are its improved aerodynamics and more striking appearance - it is even more convincing at first glance. On the one hand, this is due to the turbo-wide lightweight body, which is being used on the Cup car for the first time. With a total width of 1,902 millimetres, it is 28 millimetres wider at the rear axle than the previous model and features an additional cooling air intake in front of the wheels.
We at MS Design are proud to be involved in such a strong Project!
