Porsche 911 Dakar

The new off-road 911

2023 - The Porsche 911 Dakar is launched. Without a doubt, another milestone in the history of Porsche. With the 911 Dakar, Porsche celebrates the past and commemorates the first overall victory in the 1984 Paris-Dakar Rally with the new model.

The sports car has been heavily optimised for off-road use. The body design is based on that of the Carrera 4, but the spoiler has been adapted and the Porsche has been fitted with stainless steel protection plates at the front and rear, as well as on the sills, to protect it from the effects of off-road conditions.

The front end has also been redesigned to improve the ramp angle, and stainless steel radiator grilles have been fitted, which are attractive both in terms of their design and their benefit to the car.

The body of the 911 Dakar has been raised by almost 5 centimetres as standard and can be mechanically raised by a further 30 millimetres using a lift system. This also conveys the character of an off-road sports car. Technically, parts of the original chassis have been reinforced for the 'high level'.

With 480 bhp under the bonnet and a top speed of 240 km/h, the 911 is as sporty off-road as it is on, as you would expect from Porsche.

Again, MS Design is proud to be involved and sees great potential for the future in Porsche's off-road model.
